Wet Bottom Shoe Fly Pie - DEN
Crumbs 1 cup flour
2/3 cup dark brown sugar
1 Tbsp margarine or butter
Mix by hand and save 1/2 cup for top of pie
Filling 1 cup karo
3/4 boiling water
1 egg
1 tsp baking soda in 1 Tbsp boiling water
Mix karo & egg. Beat til egg is mixed in well. Add hot water & stir. Add
b. soda to 1 Tbsp hot water (go figure). Add to mixture. Pour crumbs into
liquid & mix well. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Slowly spread the 1/2 cup
crumbs on top. Bake 10 min at 425, then 25 min at 375.
